Xbox brings dozens of retro titles to Game Pass

Xbox has partnered with retro games platform Antstream Arcade to bring dozens of classic titles to its own Game Pass service.

Dubbed “Retro Classics,” the new initiative sees over 50 classic Activision games from the ’80s and ’90s joining the Game Pass catalogue, including Commando, Pitfall!, Grand Prix, Kaboom! and Mech Warrior 2: 31st Century Combat. Retro Classics will be available on all Game Pass platforms, including Xbox consoles, PC and devices that support Xbox Cloud Gaming. On console and PC, you can install Retro Classics as an app through their Game Pass membership.

Xbox says this is just the “beginning” for Retro Classics, with plans to expand the service’s library to more than 100 titles over time. Retro Classics is now available through Game Pass.

Retro Classics comes as part of Xbox’s larger May update. Other additions this month include the PC Game Bar getting quick settings and widgets and Microsoft Edge game assist and new games like Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 6, Project Wingman and Ride 5 now being games you own that can be streamed through Game Pass.
