Tony Hawk’s Pro Skate 3+4 demo drops on all platforms

A demo for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 is now available on PlayStation, Xbox and PC.

The launch trailer for highly-anticipated remastered collection of the third and fourth Tony Hawk skateboarding games was featured during the Xbox Games Showcase. As part of that revealed, Activision confirmed that those who pre-ordered the game on any of those platforms, as well as Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, can now download the “Foundry Demo.” You’ll have to visit this site to redeem your demo access code.

As the name suggests, the demo includes the Foundry park, as well as College, plus skaters Tony Hawk and Rayssa Leal. those who pre-ordered the Digital Edition will also be able to play as Doom franchise her Doom Slayer in the demo.

The demo comes just over one month before the game’s July 11 launch on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.

On top of this demo, members of the press got to check out a more extensive demo alongside Summer Game Fest, MobileSyrup included. During that preview, we learned of several new things, including the brand-new skate parks Pinball and Movie Studio and a new Photo Mode.

I have a lot of nostalgia for the original Tony Hawk games, with the Pro Skater 1+2 remaster that was released in 2020 being a particular highlight. Therefore, I found it an absolute delight to dive back into the the skating world with 3+4, even if I was pretty bad at it.

That’s the beauty of these games. There is a ton of high score chasing you can do and plenty of challenges to complete, or you can just skate around freely without any pressure. I remember little of and 4, so I loved seeing “Canada” park (Calgary) and White Rock, B.C.’s Andy Anderson as a playable skater. I’m pretty sure I even heard an NPC say “bud” and “double-double,” which was amusing.

All in all, there are dozens of skaters, including guests like the aforementioned Doom Slayer and, charmingly, Michelangelo from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Specifically, it was the version of Mikey from the surprisingly good 2023 animated movie, which was fun. Fan-favourite Bam Margera is also in the game, which will no doubt be reassuring to many. (His character screen even has a comment that nods to the fact that fans were worried he wouldn’t be in the remaster.)

I also learned more about Create a Park. Impressively, there’s a ton of features in this mode, including allowing players to set all kinds of goals and even place objects like musical notes and aggressive NPCs that will shove you off your board if you get close. This joins the likes of Solo Tour, Career, multiplayer with up to eight total players and more to offer an all-around complete package.

All in all, I had a blast with the game, and I’m looking forward to playing the full experience in July.
