Despite this slight dip, NVIDIA made headlines with its growing presence in the AI space, thanks to a groundbreaking deployment with DeepL and a bold European expansion plan detailed by CEO Jensen Huang at GTC Paris.

DeepL Partners with NVIDIA for Faster AI Translation

German startup DeepL announced it is now using NVIDIA’s DGX SuperPOD system to significantly reduce the time required to translate the entire internet, from 194 days to just 18 days. The DGX SuperPOD features 36 B200 Grace Blackwell Superchips per server rack, enabling powerful AI model training and operation.

DeepL’s chief scientist, Stefan Mesken, emphasized that this advanced computing power allows the company to enhance products like Clarify, a tool designed to ensure translation accuracy by confirming context with users. Mesken noted that such capabilities were unattainable until these recent technological advances.

Jensen Huang Outlines European AI Ambitions

During GTC Paris, NVIDIA founder Jensen Huang outlined the company’s ambitious vision for establishing AI infrastructure across Europe. He described this as the emergence of a new “intelligence infrastructure” that every nation and industry will rely upon.



Central to this strategy are the GB200 NVL72 systems, designed as advanced “thinking machines” capable of reasoning and self-communication. These systems are being produced at a rate of 1,000 units per week, reflecting surging demand for high-performance AI computing.

Quantum Computing and Sovereign AI Models

Huang also revealed the expansion of NVIDIA’s CUDA-Q platform, now active on Denmark’s Gefion supercomputer. This enables hybrid AI and quantum computing developments and accelerates error correction research critical for future applications.

In response to Europe’s desire for localized AI solutions, NVIDIA introduced Nemotron, supporting the creation of sovereign language models tailored to regional needs. These models will soon enhance services like Perplexity, a multilingual reasoning search engine.

AI Factories and Industrial Cloud Initiatives

A pivotal part of NVIDIA’s plan includes constructing AI factories — specialized data centers designed to generate the tokens fueling modern AI systems. Huang noted that these “thinking factories” would form the core of the coming industrial AI revolution.

To support manufacturers, NVIDIA will also launch the world’s first industrial AI cloud in Germany, enabling companies to build digital twins and optimize operations via the Omniverse platform. NVIDIA DRIVE is now in production, signaling progress in autonomous vehicle technology.
