Univar subsidiary ChemPoint opens EMEA HQ in Dublin

ChemPoint, the specialist chemicals and ingredients distributor, has opened its new EMEA headquarters in Dublin to drive regional growth, and is already hiring.

A subsidiary of Univar Solutions, the global solutions provider of specialty ingredients and chemicals, ChemPoint Ireland will be headed up by general manager Dr Anna Wilson, and says it has already hired a number of employees in the greater Dublin area, with plans to add more.

“We’re thrilled to announce the opening of our new EMEA headquarters in Dublin, Ireland – the first step in executing our strategic growth plan within EMEA,” said Austin Nichols, ChemPoint president and CEO, who was in Ireland for the official launch of the HQ at the K Club in Kildare.

“Dublin offers unparalleled access to exceptional talent and serves as a convenient hub for international travel connectivity, enhancing our ability to meet with customers, engage with supplier partners, and attend industry conferences and events to stay abreast of market trends.”

“I’m thrilled to become a part of this dynamic and agile organisation that offers a spirit of adventure for those ready to push boundaries and reshape the perception of the chemical industry,” said Dr Anna Wilson. “I truly believe we will have a significant impact on fine chemical distribution across Europe.”

IDA Ireland CEO Michael Lohan said he was delighted to welcome ChemPoint to Ireland. “Ireland remains a strong location for companies looking to expand into Europe and this decision to locate in Dublin underscores Ireland’s attractiveness as a location for global solutions providers,” he said.

Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment of Ireland Peter Burke, TD, has also welcomed the news: “This investment not only brings high-quality jobs to our economy but also strengthens our position in the specialty chemicals sector,” he said.
