Nintnedo Switch 2 Is Coming, Full Announcement In April

If you’ve been waiting for the Nintendo Switch 2 announcement, well, that’s kind of today, but not really. Early this morning, the company took to social media and dropped an announcement of its long awaited updated to the Switch. Here’s what I know and what the company has to say about the new Nintendo Switch 2.

There’s really not a lot announced, as the company used this as a teaser for the big unveiling in April. Nintendo’s biggest nugget is that you will be able to play old Switch games on the new Switch. So cross-compatible games are confirmed. Though, to be honest, this should just be a given. You can watch the trailer below.

Nintendo Switch 2 plays both physical and digital Nintendo Switch games. Certain Nintendo Switch games may not be supported on or fully compatible with Nintendo Switch 2. Details will be shared on the Nintendo website at a later date. Nintendo Switch Online members can continue using the service on Nintendo Switch 2.
