Two major companies have boosted their crypto treasuries this month. Nasdaq-listed SharpLink Gaming and London’s Smarter Web Company have both made big moves to strengthen their digital asset reserves. Their choices demonstrate the way companies are gaining confidence in maintaining crypto as a part of their balance sheets.

SharpLink Buys 10,000 ETH Directly from Ethereum Foundation

SharpLink Gaming has acquired 10,000 ETH directly from Ethereum Foundation. The transaction amounted to 25.7 million dollars. The deal was an over-the-counter transaction, and it was closed on July 10 with an average price of $2,572.37 per ETH. The acquisition gives SharpLink an aggregate of approximately 215,634 ETH.

At current market prices, these holdings are currently valued at approximately 558 million dollars. The Ethereum foundation is a large organization that is situated in Switzerland, Zug, and it is instrumental in the expansion of the Ethereum network. It invests in projects, programs, and developers and tries to ensure Ethereum remains decentralized.

Smarter Web Spends £21.88M to Grow Its Bitcoin Treasury

SharpLink is expanding its ETH stack, whereas The Smarter Web Company is interested in Bitcoin. The London-listed company said on Friday that it bought another 275 BTC. This is within its 10-Year Plan, it plans to continue to add Bitcoin to its treasury in the long term.

It cost the company approximately 21.88 million pounds to acquire the new bitcoins. The average Bitcoin price was £79,563, which equals about $108,182. In this new acquisition, Smarter Web now has a total of 1,275 BTC.

Smarter Web started accepting Bitcoin payments in 2023. Since then, it has invested in the establishment of a good Bitcoin reserve. It is confident that Bitcoin has a significant future in the future of money.

In addition, it owns Bitcoins of over 100 million in average prices purchased by the company. The company also possesses nearly 31 million pounds worth of cash that it can use to acquire additional Bitcoins should it be necessary.

Smarter Web claims that its Bitcoin treasury is providing huge dividends. Its Bitcoin assets alone have experienced a 31,263 percent improvement this year. In 30 days alone, the yield has gone up by 497%.

In addition to crypto, Smarter Web also does web design, development, and marketing. Each month it generates revenue as setup fees, hosting, and additional services.

Such mega steps by SharpLink and Smarter Web indicate the fact that now crypto is not just a trading asset. It is turning into a mainstream treasury of certain firms.
