If you’re waiting for Apple to announce the new iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro lineups before buying a new phone, the big day is now sooner than ever. In fact, a new report suggests that the new iPhones will be announced during the week of September 8, 2025.
With that in mind, it’s most likely that September 9 or 10 will be the announcement day. However, it’s possible that Apple’s plans could change before that date rolls around.
This is all according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, writing in his weekly Power On newsletter. Apple normally announces its new iPhones shortly after the big Labor Day event which is set for September 1.
That means that, based on previous years, it’s likely that the week of September 8 will see the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro finally break cover.
While nothing has been confirmed by Apple, as is the norm, we expect that the company will announce the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max during the event. The Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and Apple Watch SE 3 are also likely to be announced, too.
The event will also likely see Apple share more details about its next big software releases, including when they will be released to the public. We would expect that to happen around a week after the event itself.
