Las Vegas Strip casino signs global superstar for new residency

Las Vegas Strip casinos are known for bringing back popular music entertainers who have completed successful residencies in their theaters.

Superstar rock band Foreigner was supposed to wrap up their touring career on March 13, 2024, but before that final show, the band couldn’t resist signing up for a 16-show Farewell Residency at the Venetian Theater at The Venetian Las Vegas, spread out over March, April, October, and November 2024.

Like many other bands who have embarked on “farewell” tours, Foreigner reneged on their farewell commitment and decided to cash in on their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction and extended their farewell tour past the final Vegas show on Nov. 9, 2024, and booked 26 more tour shows in 2025, from March 13 through Oct. 11, 2025.

The band even added more Canada shows on the “farewell” tour from Oct. 21 through Nov. 7, 2025.

Foreigner’s farewell residency at the Venetian was such a success that the band decided to forget about that “farewell” engagement and scheduled a unique series of shows at the Venetian Theater in Vegas, its “Foreigner: The Hits Orchestral” residency, “Celebrating 50 Years Live in Vegas,” on March 6, 7, 11, 13, and 14, 2026.

You can bet that Foreigner will never stop touring as long as they’re breathing, and promoters pay them, even after lead singer Kelly Hansen on May 20 revealed on live TV that he is leaving the band.

And you can also bet that you’ll see Foreigner perform residencies on the Strip for years to come.

Now, another successful Vegas Strip residency performer is returning for an engagement in late 2025.

Caesars Rewards, Caesars Loyalty, Live Nation, and Ticketmaster presales begin June 4 at 10 a.m. Pacific.

Tickets go on sale to the general public June 6 at 10 a.m. Pacific.

Lopez last appeared in her record-breaking residency, “Jennifer Lopez: All I Have ” at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino for 120 shows in 2016-2018 and grossed over $100 million.

JLo made headlines a year ago when she on May 31, 2024, cancelled her 30-show “This is Me…Live” 2024 North American summer tour, claiming she was “taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends,” the promoter said on the singer’s fan club website.

Poor ticket sales may have played a role in the cancellation, as a review of Ticketmaster seating charts at the time showed that a large number of seats for many shows were not selling, Variety said.

The tour was scheduled to begin June 26 in Orlando, Fla., and end Aug. 17 in New York. Among the cancelled shows was a July 20, 2024, performance at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
