Today is the last day of Amazon’s Prime Day sale, which was already extended by two days compared to years prior. The four-day sale has offered deals and discounts across many categories, and beauty offers certainly aren’t lacking. But one of the best offers I’ve seen in the beauty tools and gadgets department is the popular Solawave red light therapy wand on sale for 50% off. That’s right, today only Amazon dropped this TikTok-trendy wand by half, and as someone already owns it, it’s a great offer.Â

The Solawave wand is one of Amazon’s “Today’s Big Deals,” a themed daily deal drop featuring some of the event’s most “buzzworthy” deals, available exclusively to Prime members while supplies last, according to Amazon. This red light wand was on sale starting July 8 at Amazon, but it was selling for 35% off ($110), so these half-off savings are a significantly better offer.Â
I got my Solawave wand over a year ago during an Ulta Beauty savings event, where I also scored it for a rare 50% off. Those savings were the push I needed to add to cart and checkout, and they don’t come around often. Since that Ulta offer, I haven’t seen these savings.Â
I became accustomed to popular red light therapy treatments with Solawave’s wand. According to UCLA Health, red light can potentially reduce signs of aging, encourage hair regrowth, minimize acne, and more.Â

Complete transparency — I never would have purchased this wand full price. Since I could scoop it up for half off, it made “trying it out” a much easier pill to swallow. I’ve been using this consistently for about a year, and I think it helps with some factors like acne, dark marks, and wrinkles. However, you have to be consistent, using this wand for the recommended amount of time and cycles, and as much as possible, mainly because it isn’t designed for your entire face simultaneously.Â

This little wand works wonders on fading particular scars and spots, plus it’s somewhat therapeutic to use thanks to a massage feature. But ultimately, I don’t feel the bulb size and design are ideal for actual benefits from red light therapy, so I’ll be upgrading to a mask soon. Other users on Reddit agree, saying it’s a nice handheld option that is more for the self-care experience, though some customers say it has helped with skin texture, appearance, and more. It’s a personal preference, but it was a great way to bridge myself into red light therapy and integrate it into my routine.Â
These red light tools are to be tried at your own risk, but it’s a good idea to consult a dermatologist with your questions or concerns before using at-home treatments of any kind. Remember that, like anything, red light can have some risks, like mild pain or skin irritation, according to the American Academy of Dermatology Association.Â
If you’re interested in trying out red light therapy or this Solawave wand, now is the chance. This 50% offer won’t come around often, and you can always return the product if it doesn’t end up being for you. But if it is, you save $84.Â

How I rated this deal
These 50% savings are a rare deal I haven’t seen in a bit. We likely won’t see this significant discount for a long time, maybe during another exclusive beauty sale or Black Friday. I can’t say for sure, but this half-off offer is much better than the 35% savings earlier this week. If you’re on the fence about trying this red light wand out (or getting it as a gift), now’s the best time to scoop it up.Â
Prime Day will end on July 11, and it’s likely this deal will go with it.Â
