The new UGREEN Nexode 500W 6-Port GaN desktop fast charger was made for scenarios like this, and it’s made to power it all up. With 500 watts of power, this thing is capable of charging smartphones, tablets, laptops, and everything in between. The beauty of it, is that it takes up little space but provides a ton of power options for most users.

The UGREEN Nexode 500W is a pretty straightforward device. The design looks nice on a desk and doesn’t take up a lot of space, though you do need to plan for the cable mess you might make. Shorter cables make for a neater and cleaner space. But that’s not always possible.

The other awesome thing is that there is no external power supply. Often times, these types of devices have an external brick power supply, but everything is integrated into the enclosure here. That means you get one single power cable, and that, I love.

The UGREEN Nexode 500W also has the capacity to fast charge up to six devices, with one port having a 240W capacity. I used this to keep several phones and tablets charged in one space. It was super convenient. Its size is also very moveable around the house or office, it’s not super heavy, and the single power cable helps to keep the size down. Though, I wouldn’t recommend this for travel, but you probably could pack it if you absolutely needed it. Overall, the UGREEN Nexode 500W is a fantastic GaN desktop fast charger.

Design

The UGREEN Nexode 500W 6-Port GaN desktop fast charger design is simple. It almost looks like an external hard rive enclosure. It’s not overly big, it does have some weight, though. Probably from the internal power supply.

The space gray color is nice, and the UGREEN branding and 500W branding is subtle and doesn’t look bad. The power cable is THICK, a big boy. But it’s a nice length, and it’s what I would expect for a power supply this size. On the front, you have your 5 USB-C ports and 1 USB-A port. Each is labeled with their output capacity.

Around the back is your power cable inlet and on the bottom are rubber feet to help keep it stable. No other cables were included, and I would have liked to see at least one USB-C 240W cable included. Overall, the design is very nice, simple, and sleek.

The UGREEN Nexode 500W 6-Port GaN desktop fast charger is a beast in performance, and there are a ton of different ways you could utilize its power. My needs were fairly straightforward. I basically used the 240W port to keep my laptop charged when at my desktop. And the other ports were used for phones and tablets I have here for review. Below is an outline of various possible ways you could use this desktop fast charger, in case you needed some ideas.

Whatever configuration you choose, you just need to know that you can only output a maximum of 500W and each port is only capable of its stated output. So don’t expect to plug in a 240W laptop into the 60W port and get that charging rate. UGREEN has it pretty well laid out, and the outline above really is a great tool to give you some ideas. Price/Value

The UGREEN Nexode 500W 6-Port GaN desktop fast charger will set you back two-hundred forty-nine dollars. This is actually a pretty great value, but I would have liked to see at least one USB-C cable included with this charger. One cable for the 240W port would have been an excellent addition to this and provided more value. Still, you are getting a very amazing device for the price here.
