Toronto Comicon returns to the city from March 14 to 16.
As always, the event takes place in the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC) and features all kinds of pop-culture programming. Since this is MobileSyrup, we’ll highlight the gaming and streaming programming you can check out. (There’s really nothing for the former, to be honest.) Note that all of the guests will be taking part in autographs, photo ops and panels.
The Acolyte
Vancouver’s own Manny Jacinto, star of Disney+’s The Acolyte and NBC’s The Good Place, will be at Toronto Comicon on Saturday and Sunday. He also has a panel on Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Boys
Many of the cast members of the popular Prime Video superhero series will be at Toronto Comicon, given that they’re currently filming the fifth and final season here. This includes:
- Karl Urban (Butcher)
- Antony Starr (Homelander)
- Tomer Capone (Frenchie)
- Laz Alonso (MM)
- Jessie T. Usher (A-Train)
- Nathan Mitchell (Black Noir)Â [from Mississauga]
- Colby Minifie (Ashley)
- Valorie Curry (Firecracker)
They’re also breaking out into multiple panels throughout the weekend — check out the full schedule on Toronto Comicon’s website.
X-Men ’97
X-Men: The Animated Series and X-Men ’97 producer/director Larry Houston had to cancel his Toronto Comicon appearance, but in his place, Toronto’s George Buza, the voice of Beast in both the original and Disney+ sequel series, will be in attendance. He’ll have a panel on Saturday at 4 p.m.
Other
While not streaming-only, several of the Supernatural cast members will be at the show:
- Jared Padalecki (Sam; is also set to appear in the new season of The Boys)
- Mark Sheppard (Crowley)
- Alexander Calvert (Jack)Â [from Vancouver]
- Jim Beaver (Bobby)
- Ruth Connell (Rowena)
Padalecki and Sheppard have a panel on Sunday at 10:30 a.m., while Calvert, Beaver and Connell take part in their own on Saturday at 2:15 p.m.
Finally, Buffy the Vampire Slayer star James Marsters (Spike) will also be in attendance. His panel is set for Saturday at 6 p.m.
Tickets for Toronto Comicon start at $29 depending on the day. Three-day passes are sold out at the time of writing. You can buy tickets in advance on the official Toronto Comicon website.
An official app containing the full guest and exhibitor lists, schedule, floor plan and more can be downloaded on Android and iOS.
